Placenta has two types on the basis of location.

1) PLACENTA NON-PRAVIA

When placenta is above on the umbilical region of the mother, it is called placenta non-previa. it will safe, and delivery will 100% normal there will no need to c-section. It may fundal, anterior or posterior.

2) PLACENTA PRAVIA

When placenta located below the umbilicus of the mother, it is called placenta previa.

it have farther three types as below.👇

(a) Marginal pravia:

The placenta is at the edge/margins of the internal cervical oss/opening.

b) Partial previa:

The internal cervical opening is partially covered by the placenta .

c) Complete previa/central placenta:

The internal cervical opening/ oss is completely covered by the placenta.

👉In such cases normal delivery is impossible and cisaction/cesarean is must. And patient should reach to maternity center at accurate time.
